From the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Friday, March 2, 2007:
Table Rock Lake Implementing New Area Use Fee System April 1, 2007
TABLE ROCK LAKE- The US Army Corps of Engineers is implementing a new Area Use Fee system beginning April 1, 2007 at Table Rock Lake.
Under the new system, the Corps will collect a fee of $4 per vehicle per day for vehicles entering a Corps operated Public Use Area. Persons entering the areas on foot will be charged a fee of $1 per person per day. The Area Use Fees will be charged at Indian Point, Cape Fair, Aunt's Creek, Mill Creek, Baxter, Old Highway 86, Long Creek, Cricket Creek, Viola, Viney Creek, Campbell Point, Big M, Eagle Rock, and Moonshine Beach Public Use Areas.
The Area Use Fees will not be charged to marina slip holders or marina customers as long as these customers are not utilizing areas of the park outside of the marina's lease area. Also, current annual pass holders and registered overnight campers will be exempt from paying the free. Visitors to campsites will be required to pay the fee.
If you are a frequent visitor to Corps of Engineer operated Public Use Areas, you may wish to purchase an annual pass for $40, instead of paying a daily fee with each visit. The annual pass allows unlimited, nationwide use of all Crops use fee areas for a 12 month period from the date of purchase. Note that the annual pass does not cover camping fees. Annual Passes can be purchased from the above Public Use Areas during business hours, and also from the Table Rock Lake Project Office Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 4:00 PM. The pass can be purchased via telephone from the Table Rock Lake Project Office by calling 417.334.4101 during business hours. However, if you would like to use a Golden Age Passport, Golden Access Passport, America the Beautiful Senior Passport, or an America the Beautiful Access Passport to purchase the Annual Pass you must appear in person.
Both the Area Use Fee and the $30 Annual Pass will be reduced by 50 percent for holders of Golden Age Passport, Golden Access Passport, America the Beautiful Senior Passport and the America the Beautiful Access Passport.
This new fee system is intended to help defray the cost of providing day-use and camping facilities, minimize delays entering parks, and also apply fees more fairly to all park users.
