Update 1.1.1 — Mobile Update 📱

This release focuses on making shellknob.com smoother, cleaner, and easier to use on phones and tablets—especially across the main site pages and the front-end dashboards.

✅ Highlights

• Mobile-first standardization across the site

  • We reviewed the site page-by-page and standardized mobile layouts across most public pages and the dashboard experience.

  • Most menus, navigation, and page outputs are now mobile friendly and easier to browse on smaller screens.

• Dashboard mobile improvements (with a clear note)

  • While the majority of the dashboard is now mobile responsive, a few advanced tools are still best used on desktop.

  • Desktop-only (for now):

    • Creating ticketed events

    • Managing seat plans / seat maps

  • These areas will continue to be improved in future updates, but they’re currently intended for desktop use.

• Dynamic Login/Register → Dashboard button

  • Updated the main dashboard/menu button to a dynamic layout:

    • Shows Login / Register when logged out

    • Automatically switches to Dashboard when logged in

• Events plugin updates (Beta RSVP + Ticketing)

  • Updated our Events system to include beta event types:

    • RSVP Events (Beta)

    • Ticketed Events (Beta)

    • Paid Ticketed Events (Beta)

• Mobile responsiveness across key plugins

  • Updated the following plugin areas with improved mobile layouts and input styling:

    • Events

    • Jobs

    • Resorts

  • Also included minor backend code adjustments for stability, fixes, and general improvements.

• Random Business Spotlight on homepage

  • Added a Featured Business Spotlight in the homepage header that randomly selects a business from our directory database—helping drive visibility and discovery.

• Mobile header improvements

  • On mobile, the weather block is now gated behind push buttons to reduce header clutter and improve usability.

  • Added a clear “View Listings” button in the header for faster access to the directory on mobile.

• NEW: Obituaries feature (Beta)

  • Added a Beta Obituaries feature (requested by the local funeral home) to allow them to post obituaries publicly in a respectful, accessible forum for the community.

This update is designed to make the site feel more modern and usable for visitors who primarily browse Shell Knob resources from their phones—while keeping advanced admin/business tools available for desktop power use.
